Description

Circa 1910, 3 storey Free Renaissance tenement with pub and bank on ground floor, 4 windows wide to High Street, 2 to Newbiggin. Corner tourelle corbelled from 1st floor level and further at 2nd floor level, rising into octagonal drum with broad-eaved Delhi-type slated roof. Platformed slated roof, ground floor ashlar coursed rubble above entablature over pub and bank fronts, heavy corbel table at 2nd floor windows dormer headed with alternate triangular and segmental pediments, except bipartite window at western end which has crowstepped gablet.
