Description
This building at 105 High Street in Dumfries dates from the late 19th century and features three storeys and an attic, with two bays facing High Street and a canted angle at the corner. The gable side faces Bank Street, and the entrance to the upper floors is located in the adjoining building at 54 Bank Street. The ground floor is occupied by a modern shop, while the upper levels are constructed of red ashlar. The first floor has pilasters and wide segmental-arched windows that are arcaded, featuring cast-iron lintels, timber mullions, and transoms. The second floor has lugged architraves, and there are strings that divide the floors. A swept-roofed dormer is present, along with a corniced end stack and a slate roof.
