Description
111 High Street in Dumfries is a building from the mid to late 19th century, designed in a Free Italianate style. It stands three storeys tall and features three narrow bays that are separated by pilasters on the upper floors. The ground floor has a modern shop front. The building is constructed of red ashlar and includes sculptured details. The first floor is arcaded, with sculptured heads above the windows in the tympana. The second floor windows have a decorative cill course and are fitted with casement windows. Additional features include decorative eaves, a cornice, a low parapet, and a piended roof covered with concrete tiles.
