Description

Hopeswood is a terraced house located on High Street in Gifford, dating from around 1800. It is two stories high and has three bays. The building is constructed from squared, coursed, and deeply droved sandstone in a mix of colors, with an ashlar base course and dressings.

On the west elevation, the bays are grouped towards the center, featuring a door flanked by windows, with an additional window in each bay on the first floor. The sash and case windows have a 12-pane glazing pattern. The house has mutual gable stacks and is topped with grey slates.
