Description
23 and 25 High Street in North Berwick is an early 19th-century tenement building featuring three bays and three stories. The front is constructed from rubble Law stone with whinstone pinning, while the southern side is harled. It has ashlar dressings and raised cills. A shop front and doorway were added in 1971, which includes a panelled door with a decorative fanlight on the west side. The rear of the building has small, irregular central stair windows and extensions at the ground floor.
The upper floors have a small-pane glazing pattern, and the building is topped with a steeply pitched, slated roof that includes two piended slate-hung dormers. The roof features plain raised skews and gable head stacks.
