45, 47 High Street, North Berwick

This building, located at 45 and 47 High Street in North Berwick, dates from the mid to late 18th century and is a two-storey, three-bay structure. It is constructed of painted rubble with ashlar dressings and has rendered sections on the north side, featuring painted margins and raised cills.

On the north elevation facing the street, there is a central door with chamfered arrises, chamfer stops, and moulded cornices, along with a small-pane strip fanlight above it. The door is flanked by plate glass windows, with the eastern window being enlarged. To the east, there is a fanlit panelled door in its doorway.

The southeast elevation features a projecting stair-block with a piend roof at the center, flanked by piended dormers. There are lean-to additions at the ground level. The building has a 12-pane glazing pattern and pantiled roofs, with a plain raised skew and a gable head chimney located to the west.
