Description
Draffen House is an earlier 19th-century building that has mostly reconstructed wings from the 20th century. It is a symmetrical, two-storey, three-bay former farmhouse designed in a U-shape, with single-storey, single-bay wings on either side that project to the north, creating a courtyard. The main elevation is finished in painted droved ashlar and features a base course, eaves band, cornice, and blocking course. The outer bays are adorned with Doric pilasters and raised cills. A central projecting entrance porch has a flat roof, angled pilasters, a cornice, and a blocking course. At the rear, there is a later full-width lean-to extension with a central porch.
The windows are predominantly replacement four-pane timber sash and case. The building has coped wallhead gable stacks and a piended roof covered with grey slates.
The interior was comprehensively modernised as of 2008.
