Description
1 Loudoun Street is an early 19th-century, two-storey and attic, three-bay building that likely served as a former toll-house. It is located at a road intersection, with single-storey bays to the northwest, which has an acute angle and a piended roof, and to the southeast, which features a gabled roof. The exterior is finished in white-painted rubble with contrasting black margins and includes a cornice, as well as a pair of piended roof dormers. The northwest bay has small window openings facing the street, and there is a later extension to the southeast.
The building predominantly has replacement non-traditional windows, a grey slate roof with raised skews, and gablehead stacks.
The interior, as seen in 2008, features a standard room plan with little original fabric remaining.
