Description
The Old Toll House in Ardersier is an earlier 19th century, single-storey building that originally served as a toll house. It features three bays and faces south. The structure is constructed of white-washed rubble, accented with tooled ashlar dressings and contrasting painted cills. The central door is obscured by a later timber porch that includes a side entrance and has a piended corrugated iron roof. To the right of the door, there is a blocked window.
The eastern gable, which faces the road, has two windows with horizontal pane glazing and a centre coped ridge stack. The roof is piended and covered with slate. At the rear, there is a later single-storey extension with a piended roof, which includes a garage that projects from the northern gable.
