Description
12 Kirkford in Stewarton is a cottage dated 1781. It is a single-storey and attic structure with three bays and features a pair of later canted bay dormers. The exterior is made of painted rubble with droved margins and has a rubble boulder base course along with moulded eaves. Steps lead up to a slightly off-set recessed entrance door, which is part-glazed and made of timber, with the date 1781 incised into the lintel. There is a single window opening to the left and a bipartite opening to the right.
The windows are predominantly timber sash and case, featuring 4-pane and plate glass. The roof is covered with grey graded slates and includes a small rooflight.
