50 Cameron Street, Stonehaven

50 Cameron Street in Stonehaven is a traditional cottage built before 1823. It is a single storey with an attic and features three bays. The cottage has a deep-set door with a beautifully decorated fanlight, and it is constructed from squared and coursed red sandstone rubble.

The principal elevation is symmetrical, with the central bay having recessed steps leading up to a panelled timber door and the deep fanlight. There are windows in the flanking bays, and polygonal-roofed canted dormers over the outer bays, which flank a small rooflight.

The original windows are timber sash and case, featuring 12-pane glazing, while the dormers have a 4-pane glazing pattern. The cottage also has coped ashlar stacks with thackstanes and cans, along with ashlar-coped skews.
