Description

Early 19th century. 2-storey, 3-bay farmhouse with later rear wing. Sandstone blocks to front; rendered elsewhere. Base course to principal elevation. Ashlar margins at rendered quoins.

S (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: symmetrical elevation; central door; modern glazed porch; single window to outer bays. 3 1st floor windows centred above.

W ELEVATION: ground floor window to left. Ground floor and 1st floor window to rear wing.

N ELEVATION: advanced piended porch in angle; bipartite window; stone mullion; door in right return. Glazed porch to right. Small 1st floor window above left porch. Ground floor window in rear wing gable wall.

E ELEVATION: ground floor window in rear wing. Single storey brick extension to left (not part of Statutory List).

Predominantly 12-pane timber sash and case windows with horns. 2 roof lights to front and to rear wing. Pitched slate roof; raised, flat wallheads; moulded skewputts. 3 coped gable end stacks. Piended roof to rear wing at junction with house. Slated porch roofs.

INTERIOR: not seen, 2000.

GATEPIERS AND WALL

Pair of plain stone coped pillars with pyramidal coping stones to W of house with attached low, stone rubble walls.
