Description

Early 19th century. 2-storey, 5-bay farmhouse with single storey wings. Harled with dressed stone margins.

S (ENTRANCE) ELEVATION: single storey porch with window and door on return to left projecting to right of centre, window to outer right, bipartite window to centre and 2 further windows to left. Regular fenestration to 1st floor.

N ELEVATION: full-width single storey extension with asymmetrical fenestration, stair window to left of centre above and further window to right.

W ELEVATION: single storey M-gable with window in bay to right.

E ELEVATION: gabled elevation with window to each floor at outer left, further window to outer right in single storey extension.

4-pane glazing pattern in timber sash and case windows, except to ground rear and W; coloured margin to stair window. Grey slates with terracotta ridge tiles. Coped ashlar stacks with some polygonal cans; plain bargeboarding and deeply overhanging eaves.

INTERIOR: plain cornicing and timber shutters to ground floor front rooms; rest of interior not seen 1997.

BOUNDARY WALLS: rubble boundary walls.
