Description

Late 18th to early 19th century. 2-storey, 3-bay, rectangular-plan traditional farmhouse with later? bowed wing. Roughly coursed rubble with ashlar quoins and raised margins. Eaves lintel course.

S (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: deep-set part-glazed panelled timber door to centre with windows in flanking bays and regular fenestration to 1st floor.

E ELEVATION: gabled bay to left with window to each floor at outer left and broad gablehead stack; lower advanced bowed bay with 3 windows to centre, lower wing with 2 windows to outer right.

W ELEVATION: gabled bay to right with window to each floor at outer right; lower wing to left with window slapping and door beyond.

Plate glazing in timber sash and case windows. Graded grey slates. Ashlar-coped skews and coped ashlar stacks, that to E with polygonal cans, that to W rendered; thackstanes.

INTERIOR: some plain cornicing, panelled shutters and stone staircase to original house; decorative plasterwork cornicing and carved timber fireplace to bowed wing.

BOUNDARY WALLS: coped rubble boundary walls enclosing garden to S, E and W.
