10-12 Ward Road, Dundee

10-12 Ward Road in Dundee is a late 19th-century, two-storey commercial building designed by David Baxter of Johnston and Baxter. It features a baronial style, with a façade made of cream sandstone coursers and red sandstone ashlar dressings, topped by a grey slate roof. The building has a base course and a string course at the first floor, along with moulded eaves. The windows are bipartite with chamfered jambs and mullions, and there are corbelled tripartite oriels with stone canted roofs and cast-iron finialled crowstepped dormerheads. The ground floor has a 3-pane top-hopper glazing pattern, while the first floor features timber sash and case windows, with single or 2-pane designs below and multi-pane designs above. The corniced ridge stacks have uniform black cans, and there are cast-iron rainwater goods.

The front elevation includes a depressed-arch pend entrance with doors located to the centre right, flanked by doors with square-headed fanlights. To the right, there is a bipartite window, while to the left, there are four bipartite windows. The first floor has an oriel window in the centre, flanked by bipartite windows with oriels in the outer bays.

At the rear, there is a courtyard surrounded by single-storey brick and slate lean-to buildings. The interior has not been seen.
