Description
The Auction Rooms on Ward Road in Dundee were designed by James Langlands in 1909. This building is a single storey with an attic and features twin gables. It is constructed of red brick, with the front harled, and has a corrugated sheet roof on the right-hand bay, while the left-hand bay has a slate roof. The bargeboards are plain timber.
The front elevation includes a bay on the right with three 12-pane metal windows. The left bay has a central bipartite 2-pane timber sash and case window with a continuous segmental hoodmould, flanked by two-leaf doors on the right and another bipartite window in the attic. There is a coped stack with two cans on the left-hand ridge. The interior has not been seen.
