Description

The Black Watch War Memorial in Powrie was designed by Scott Sutherland and created by H.H. Martyn & Co. of Cheltenham in 1959, as indicated by its inscription and date. The memorial features a bronze statue of a soldier from the Black Watch, which stands on a polished ashlar sandstone pedestal. This pedestal is elevated on a dais that is accessed by seven wide steps made of brick and concrete. The memorial is surrounded by low concrete coped rubble walls.
