Description

  1. Sandstone ashlar War Memorial to members of Black Watch Battalion set beside Gelly Burn and amidst woodland in Caird Park. Broad stepped base of ashlar blocks. Base course to plinth with overhanging cornice above providing base for freestanding Corinthian columns to each corner. Sandstone ashlar pier to centre with segmental pedimented panels inscribed with names of fallen soldiers. Plain entablature with deep corniced eaves course above and central domed stone roof.
