Description
Mains (St Ninian's) Church is located in Caird Park, Dundee, and is a medieval site. The churchyard has a near rectangular plan and features rubble-built coped boundary walls. At the northwest angle, there are 19th century channelled ashlar gatepiers topped with pyramids, accompanied by simple wrought-iron gates.
The site includes the remains of the Graham of Fintry vault and a late 15th century south transept from the Old Parish Church of Mains, although only the lower parts of the walls remain. There are several monuments from the 17th, 18th, and early 19th centuries, but few are still standing.
