Description
Mains Farm is an early 19th-century granary range located in Caird Park, Dundee. It is a single-storey building with an attic, constructed from rubble and aligned north-south. The granary appears to have been heightened in the later 19th century. At the southern end, there are dormer-head windows that rise through the eaves, and the windows are sash and case with a 4-pane glazing pattern. Some modern openings have been added to the northern side.
Adjoining the granary to the west is a circular horse mill, which features stout stone piers between recessed bays that contain four large multi-paned windows and a horse door. The horse mill has a conical slate roof with impressive fan construction inside, although the machinery has been removed.
