War Memorial, Rossland Place, Kinghorn

The War Memorial located at Rossland Place in Kinghorn was designed by William Williamson in 1922, with the sculptor being Alexander Carrick from Edinburgh. This memorial honors those who served in World War I and includes a roll of honor for World War II. It is constructed from polished ashlar and features a monumental square-section, single-stage plinth. The base has a roll-moulded band course and stepped coping stone, leading to a statue depicting a Black Watch soldier and a kneeling naval rating, with shell cases positioned behind them.

On the northeast elevation, there is an incised stone near the base that reads 'FAITHFUL UNTO DEATH', which is accompanied by an inset bronze plaque listing the World War I roll of honor. The southwest elevation features an individual bronze plaque commemorating John Braid, who was killed in the Korean War in 1952, and is topped by another inset bronze plaque that displays the World War II roll of honor.
