Description

The War Memorial in Forres, designed by Marshall Mackenzie in 1922, features a large bronze statue of a Highland soldier. The statue stands on a tall, rugged pedestal made of bullfaced whinstone sourced from the Wester New Forres quarry, with a plinth made of Aberdeen granite.
