Description
This is a three-storey, four-bay terraced house located at 45-47 South Tay Street in Dundee, dating from around 1820. The front is constructed of cherry-cocked coursed sandstone rubble, with a cement-rendered ground floor and dressings, while the rear is harled. The house has a slate roof and features margined windows with four-pane timber sash and case glazing. There is a rubble mutual axial stack and prominent modern roof ventilators.
On the front elevation, there is a central door with a fanlight, corniced and pilastered doorpiece, and two windows to the left that were formerly a shopfront. To the right, there is a window and a door, with four additional windows on the first and second floors.
The rear elevation includes a prominent gabled wing and dormers. The interior has not been seen.
