Description
20 and 22 South Tay Street in Dundee are earlier 19th-century terraced houses that were remodeled in the later 19th century. They are three stories tall, with an attic and basement, and feature a two-bay design. The exterior is finished in painted harl with painted ashlar dressings, while the rear is constructed from rubble. The houses have a slate roof, a cill band at the second floor, and an eaves course. The windows are architraved with 2-pane timber sash and case glazing, and the ashlar-coped skews include skew blocks. There is a brick mutual gable stack on the left and a brick gable stack on the right.
The front elevation includes a tripartite doorpiece on the right, which features a fanlight and sidelights, a consoled cornice, and a block pediment. To the left, there is a corniced and architraved bipartite window, along with two additional windows on the first and second floors. A box dormer is present in the attic. The interior has not been seen.
