Description

Mid 19th century. 2-storey, basement and attic terrace of 5 classically-detailed houses, comprising two 3-bay and three 4-bay houses. Sandstone ashlar to front (Nos 24 and 26 painted), rubble to rear, grey slate roof. Base course, corniced blocking course; 2-, 4- and 8-pane timber sash and case windows with ashlar margins (no margins at Nos 24 and 26); margined doorcases (moulded at Nos 24 and 26) with consoled lintels; rubble and brick ridge stacks.

FRONT ELEVATION: Nos 24 and 26; 3-bay in mirror image, 2 doors to centre flanked by 2 windows to left and right, 6 windows to 1st floor, large out-of-character box dormer to No 26. No 28, door at 2nd bay from right flanked by 2 windows to left and 1 to right, 4 windows to 1st floor, 2 out-of-character modern dormers. Nos 30 and 32, 4-bay with door at 2nd bay from left flanked by 2 windows to right and

1 window to left (door formed from window to right of door at No 30),

4 windows to 1st floor, 3 out-of-character box dormers to No 30.

REAR ELEVATION: No 30 harled. 3 full storeys, margined windows.

INTERIOR: not seen.
