10, 11 Tay Square, Dundee

8, 9, 10 Tay Square in Dundee are early 19th century houses featuring a pair of three-storey buildings with an attic and basement, each with four bays. They are constructed from coursed sandstone rubble with ashlar dressings and topped with a grey slate roof. The buildings have ashlar-coped skews and brick ridge stacks, although the stacks on the west gable have been removed. The windows are margined and include timber sash and case glazing with 2-, 4-, and 12-pane configurations. The doorways are consoled and corniced, each with fanlights above.

On the Tay Square elevation, the basement window heads are visible, with the left house having a door flanked by a single window to the left and two windows to the right. The right house has a door flanked by single windows, with a lower close door to the left. Each house has four windows on the upper floors, but there are out-of-character box dormers.

The left return elevation features various windows. On the South Tay Street elevation, basement window heads are present, with a door to the right that has an architraved doorcase, and three windows to the left, along with four windows on the upper floors.

The rear elevation has a prominent gabled wing that projects to the right, with plain single and bipartite windows. The interior has not been seen.
