28 South Tay Street, Dundee

26 South Tay Street in Dundee is a mid-19th century terrace of five houses, featuring two 3-bay houses and three 4-bay houses, all with classical detailing. The front is constructed of sandstone ashlar, with Nos 24 and 26 painted, while the rear is made of rubble. The terrace has a grey slate roof and includes a base course and a corniced blocking course. The windows are timber sash and case, with 2-, 4-, and 8-pane designs, and ashlar margins, although Nos 24 and 26 lack margins. The doorcases are margined, with Nos 24 and 26 having moulded details and consoled lintels. The buildings also feature rubble and brick ridge stacks.

On the front elevation, Nos 24 and 26 are mirror images, each with two central doors flanked by two windows on either side, and six windows on the first floor. Notably, No 26 has a large box dormer that is out of character. No 28 has a door at the second bay from the right, flanked by two windows to the left and one to the right, with four windows on the first floor and two modern dormers that are also out of character. Nos 30 and 32 are 4-bay houses with a door at the second bay from the left, flanked by two windows to the right and one to the left, with four windows on the first floor and three box dormers at No 30 that are out of character.

The rear elevation of No 30 is harled and has three full storeys with margined windows. The interior has not been seen.
