Description
John Murray Robertson, 1887. 2-storey, rectangular-plan, 3-bay, symmetrical lodge bridging pend to drive. Tooled and coursed sandstone, snecked rubble at sides, polished dressings. Base course, string course at 1st floor, transomed windows, crenellated parapet, coped stacks with decorative cans. Cast-iron rainwater goods with decorative fixtures to N.
W ELEVATION: slightly advanced central bay with tudor arch pend (gates missing), 4 light transomed and mullioned window to bridge above, Gilroy armorial panel in parapet. Left bay; gun-loop window at ground, and 1st floor window. Right bay; as left bay with pedestrian pend, remains of bell-pull.
E ELEVATION: similar to above, with Gilroy cipher at parapet.
N ELEVATION: cross window at ground floor right.
