Description

Earlier 19th century. Single storey and basement on falling ground, irregular-plan, Picturesque villa. Harled rubble, unusual vertically laid rock-worked base course, painted angles and margins; painted rendered and lined, corniced and moulded stacks. Some original lying-pane sash and case windows at W and N, others 2-pane, out of keeping uPVC window frames at no 19 (former service block). Deep eaves, shallow pitched roof, some pagoda finials. Original cans retained, grey slates.

S ELEVATION: 4-bay. Entrance bay set-back at left with margined doorpiece, 4 panelled door and fanlight, 12-pane window at left return gable end, truncated finial at gablehead. 3 bays at right; centre bay with single window, flanking advanced gable ends with bipartites, finials, and stacks at far left and right return elevations.

N ELEVATION: advanced service block at left with 3 windows and piended-roof. 3-bay main block set-back at right; French doors at centre, flanking gable ends with single windows and finials.

BOUNDARY WALL: coped rubble wall to garden at S.
