Description
3 Albany Terrace in Dundee is a single-storey and attic pair of semi-detached villas designed by Reverend G A Harris around 1880. The buildings are constructed from rubble with painted margins and quoins.
The front features six bays with shallow projecting gabled end bays that include canted ground floor lights. The first floor has gothic-style lights set within fretted bargeboarded gables, topped with stack finials. In the center bays, there are gothic gabled porches supported by shafts with stiff-leafed capitals. The pilastered bipartite windows in the center also have similar capitals. Above, there are 2-light depressed arched dormers with platformed roofs. The roofs are slate, with corniced ridge and gable-end stacks. The windows are sash and case, featuring a 2 and 4-pane glazing pattern. The boundary walls are also rubble-built, interrupted by a garage, and there are ashlar obelisk gatepiers.
