Description
The gates and gate piers at South Lodge, Dunskey House, date from the early 20th century. There are three pairs of square-plan gate piers made from squared and snecked sandstone, featuring ashlar dressings. Each pier has a base course, a cornice, a convex frieze, and the central pair is topped with ball finials. The right main pier includes an original gabled iron entrance bell.
The entrance features iron carriage and pedestrian gates that are curved at the apex, with gilt detailing within the carriage gates. The boundary walls consist of coped rubble quadrant walls.
