Description

Earlier/mid 19th century. 2-storey, 3-bay schoolhouse with

lower single storey school extending N from E gable. All

rubble-built with contrasting painted margins and dressings,

and roofed with graded slates.

HOUSE: S elevation: plain pedimented doorpiece with recessed

central panelled door with fanlight; plate glass sash

windows. End stacks. Low rear wing.

SCHOOL: large windows, mostly bipartite, with small panes.

Long E elevation 4 bays, outer gables with spike-finials,

single-window N end wall, bipartite to S. Range to N formerly

detached, now connected by modern porch: former toilets

beyond, and rubble-built playground walls.
