Description

Dalton Old Parish Church features a quadrangular churchyard that is mostly enclosed by rubble-built walls and an iron fence. The churchyard contains tombstones and monuments from the 18th to 20th centuries, many of which are adorned with well-sculpted ornamentation and crests. The main entrance is located at the corner and is marked by two rusticated ashlar square gatepiers. There is also a hearse house situated alongside the churchyard. An extension to the west was likely added around 1918.
