Description

Probably built last quarter of 18th century. 2-storey, 3-bay

house with sympathetic additions including near full-height

wing recessed on N flank, low 2-bay flat-roofed (?)early 20th

century addition fills re-entrant angle. Rendered and lined

as ashlar, and painted, with contrasting ashlar margins and

cills. Mainly sash windows with 12-pane glazing pattern.

Original house: good earlier 19th century corniced square

porch with clasping pilaster strips central on principal W

elevation (door in N face); 2-bay S flank; corniced

asymmetrically placed stacks (that to S modern); piended and

platform roof, leaded and slated, with wide slate easing.

Screen wall at NE linked to walled garden.
