Description
Millhouse Grange is a house built in the early 19th century. The south and west fronts are made of ashlar, while the east side features squared stone and the north side is constructed from squared rubble. The building has a hipped grey slate roof and stepped, corniced ashlar stacks. It is two storeys high with three wide, symmetrical bays. The exterior includes a chamfered plinth, bands at the sill levels, and a moulded eaves cornice, with pilasters at the corners. The windows are 12-pane sashes, with the first-floor window on the right remaining unaltered. The entrance front, which faces west, has three bays and is similar in design, except for a late 19th-century semi-octagonal porch added to the left bay. This porch features a heavy moulded string that steps over its windows and door. There is also a later 19th-century wing on the north side.
