Description

The Beeches is a house built in the late 18th century, with a mid-19th century addition and alterations. It features a cement-rendered exterior and a Welsh slate roof. The building is two storeys high with attics and has a three-to-one bay arrangement. The original three-bay house has two wings at the rear that are infilled by an outshut.

The original house showcases large quoins and has a doorway in the first bay with a part-glazed door and a patterned fanlight, all set within an open-pedimented Doric porch. The second bay includes an inserted bay window, while the other bays have four-pane sash windows framed in raised ashlar surrounds with projecting sills. The added fourth bay features a bay window beneath a four-pane sash. The range is adorned with shaped kneelers and gable copings. The three-bay section has corniced ashlar end stacks and two matching ridge stacks, while the fourth bay has an end stack. At the rear, there is a round-headed stair window in the wing on the left.
