Description
Kobe, Dalton is a single-storey cottage dated 1760, which has undergone subsequent alterations and additions. The building features an L-plan arrangement, with a barn adjoining to the rear on the east side. The structure is made of whitewashed rubble with contrasting painted margins.
Originally, the cottage was two separate cottages arranged as two and three bays, although it is suggested that it may have originally had only three bays. One of the doorways has been converted into a window, while the dated doorway retains chamfered reveals. Other openings have been altered or enlarged in the 19th century and feature stone slab margins. The cottage has end stacks and a piended roof at the north end.
The barn is built on a slope, with the north elevation showing a garage to the right and a two-bay cottage to the left at a higher level.
