Description
This mid-19th century school building has been converted for domestic use and features a symmetrical design. It has a wide central gabled porch on the south side, with two bays on either side and lean-to structures (formerly shelters) on each gable. The building is constructed from whin rubble, accented with contrasting red ashlar dressings. The porch includes a finialled gable and keystoned windows, although it has modern glazing throughout. The skews run horizontally over skewputts, and there are end stacks. The roof is slate with an axial ventilator.
The playground walls along the roadside, which have been breached for vehicle access, are complemented by iron railings and well-crafted square painted ashlar piers.
