2-4 High Street, Gatehouse Of Fleet

This building, located at 2-4 High Street in Gatehouse of Fleet, dates back to the early 19th century and originally featured two storeys, which were raised to three in the late 19th century. It is a three-bay house with a shop on the ground floor. The main elevation has a smooth render finish, while the gable facing Ann Street is harled. There is a door at the centre, with a blocked doorway immediately to the left. The windows are single light sash and case, and the third storey has gabled dormers with four-pane glazing that break through the eaves. The right window on the ground floor has been significantly enlarged and now features large modern plate glass shop windows. The building has coped end stacks, flat skews, and slate roofs.
