Description
The kennels at Balgreggan House date from the earlier 19th century and consist of a single-storey, three-bay kennel range with a rectangular-plan barn to the southeast, constructed from rubble.
The entrance elevation on the east features three sections separated by low boundary walls, with decorative cast-iron railings and gates. Each bay has timber entrance doors on the right and windows on the left, all beneath a grey slate roof. The rear elevation to the west is blank.
The barn's entrance elevation on the north side includes an elliptical-arched entrance with two-leaf doors and a semi-circular arched opening at the gable head, also covered by a grey slate roof with a rooflight.
The boundary walls surrounding the property are made of coped rubble, with circular-plan gatepiers flanking the drive, each topped with conical caps. The interiors were not seen during the 1999 inspection.
