Description
The building is a single-storey kennel constructed in 1850, featuring a rectangular plan and four bays. It has a gabled roof and is situated against rising ground. The exterior is made of stugged and coursed variegated granite, with some areas harled.
On the east elevation, there is a former door on the right that has been blocked and converted into a window. The remaining bays have doors that are enclosed by railings, with small windows to the right of each door. The base of the building has rounded coping made of coursed granite, topped with spearhead iron railings. The doors are boarded and include sliding surveillance hatches.
The south gable is blank, while the north gable features a wide, later addition of a machinery door. The building has ashlar coped skews, a roof covered with graded grey slates and a stone ridge. There is a cast-iron rooflight and a stack located on the rear wallhead of the south side.
