Description

The Kennels is a single-storey kennel building dating from around 1820. It is constructed of dressed limestone, ashlar, and brick, topped with a hipped plain tile roof featuring a single central ridge stack. The building has a T-plan layout and consists of three bays, each with doorways that have plank doors. In front of the kennel is a small exercise yard enclosed by a high stone wall, which includes square corner piers and central gate piers that are currently blocked with breeze blocks. The wall is topped with spear-headed railings and is coped and ramped at both ends. The exercise yard is now divided by a 20th-century brick wall.
