Description

The gateway to Leadenham House was built around 1900 and is made of dressed limestone rubble and ashlar. It features a chamfered round arched opening with moulded impost blocks and a plain keystone, topped with a simple pediment that displays a shield bearing the Reeve's coat of arms. On either side of the arch are short curved and ramped walls with ashlar coping, which end in square piers topped with pyramidal shapes. The large iron gates, designed in an elaborate early 18th-century style, were crafted by Coldron of Brant Broughton.
