Description
Field House is a house built in the mid-18th century and early 19th century. It is constructed of brick with ashlar dressings and features a pantile roof with ashlar coped gables and three brick gable stacks. The building has an ashlar plinth, raised quoins, and a first floor band. It is a three-bay, two-storey structure. The central doorway has a round-headed painted, moulded ashlar surround with a top keystone and impost blocks, a four-panel door, and an ornate fanlight. On either side of the doorway are single glazing bar sashes, with three similar sashes above on the upper floor. All windows have curly gauged brick lintels with ashlar keystones, which are now painted. To the south, there is a single-storey, two-bay addition that includes a small two-light casement and a large two-light sliding sash, both with segmental brick heads.
