Description

This is an earlier 19th-century farmhouse accompanied by a farm cottage and steading range located to the northwest. The farmhouse itself is a 2-story, 3-bay structure. It is harled, while the cottage and steading are built of painted rubble.

The northeast (entrance) elevation features a timber and glass door set within a recessed central bay, topped with a letterbox fanlight. There is a single window above the door on the first floor, and single windows in the flanking bays at both ground and first floor levels.

The northwest side elevation is 7 bays wide, arranged as a group of 1-1-5. An advanced bay to the outer left has a single window at ground level. A porch with a single window aligned above it sits in the penultimate bay to the left. A timber and glass door is positioned in the re-entrant angle. Timber doors, including a 2-leaf sliding door to the right, are found in the outer left and right bays beyond the 5-bay section. The first floor of the 5-bay section features single windows with louvred lower halves. Additional single windows are located at ground and first floor of the two central bays, at ground floor to the outer left, and at both ground and first floor to the outer right. A louvred cupola rises from the roof.

The southwest (rear) elevation is 4 bays wide, grouped 1-3. A single opening with a louvred lower half is at first floor level to the gable end of the 2-story range. A single-story attached range incorporates three entrances, one located to the outer right, which is double-width.

The southeast side elevation is 6 bays wide, arranged as a group of 5-1. Four single windows are at ground level, followed by five single windows at first floor, all with louvred lower halves. A single window breaks the eaves to form a gable in the penultimate bay to the right. A single window and timber door are found on the re-entrant angle to the left.

The farm cottage is a 2-story, 3-bay structure with single-story wings flanking. The windows have painted margins, and a recessed timber and glass door is centrally located, accompanied by a small letterbox fanlight. Flanking the door are single ground and first floor windows; the first-floor windows break the eaves to form a piended dormer. A timber door and a single window feature in the single-story wing to the outer left.

The cottage has plate glass timber sash and case windows. The buildings are roofed with grey slate, with apex, wallhead, and gablehead stacks, topped with circular cans.

The steading is an irregular arrangement of ranges, including single and 2-story blocks, featuring square and segmental-arched openings and forestairs.

The interior of the farmhouse was not inspected in 1999.

Painted rubble wingwalls form the entrance to the farmhouse, and an iron gate marks the boundary.
