27-29 Lover's Walk, Dumfries

27-29 Lover's Walk is a mid-19th century double villa that stands two storeys high and features four bays. The building has a shallow advanced two-bay centre with a pediment, which is accentuated by a pilastered double porch that includes bipartite windows and side entrances. The exterior is made of red ashlar, with ground floor windows that have cornices and architraves. There is a cill band at the first floor level.

The house on the left, No 27, has sash windows with small-paned glazing and includes a dormer. Architectural details include an eaves course, cornice, blocking course, straight skews, end stacks, and a single axial flue, all topped by a slate roof. The villa is set behind a rubble-built garden wall that is capped with ashlar and features square gatepiers with projecting caps.
