Park Place, Shore Road, Cove

Park Place is a mid-19th century, two-storey, three-bay symmetrical villa located on Shore Road in Cove. The building features a rectangular plan with a rear jamb and is constructed of ashlar with ashlar margins and dressings, while the side elevations are harled. It has a base course, blocking course, and quoin pilaster strips.

The main southwest elevation includes a central door with a cast-iron balustrade above, flanked by bipartite windows that have a cornice supported by console brackets. The first floor has windows that are symmetrically arranged. The villa is fitted with four-pane timber sash and case windows. The roof is covered with grey slate, featuring a piend and platformed design, along with lead flashings. There are corniced sandstone wallhead stacks with octagonal cans.

The interior was not seen in 1993.

The property is enclosed by a boundary wall made of whinstone rubble with harl-pointing and quartz boulder coping. It also features ashlar octagonal gatepiers with corniced caps and cast-iron arrowhead gates.
