Description

The Galloway Inn, located at 23 South Main Street in Wigtown, is a late 18th-century, two-storey, three-bay house. It features painted rubble walls with painted margins and a boulder base course. The central door is flanked by windows that are single light, sash and case with plate glass glazing. The roofs are steeply pitched, made of slate and tile, with a sandstone ridge. There are unfortunate additions that connect the main block to a smaller two-storey building at the rear, which has a small stack and skews.
