The exterior is constructed of rubble walling, accented with polished sandstone margins, a base course, and rusticated quoins. The central entrance consists of a panelled door topped with a fanlight, accessed by three steps. The cottage has 12-pane sash and case windows, an eaves band, and a cornice. The roof is covered with graded slate and includes three modern rooflights at the rear. Notable architectural details include a sandstone ridge and skews, with the skewputt on the right inscribed with "1810 AB/MW."
