Description
13 Bank Street in Wigtown is a pair of early 19th century single-storey terraced cottages. The cottages are constructed of painted rubble with raised painted margins and feature polished rusticated quoins at the corners. Number 13 has three bays and includes steps leading to a central panelled door with a fanlight above. On either side of the door are sash and case windows with plate-glass glazing. Number 15 has two bays, with steps leading to a modern door on the right and a plate-glass sash and case window on the left. Both cottages have slate roofs, with sandstone skew stones on the left side, including an oversized roll skewputt. Number 15 has modern rooflights at the front and a box dormer at the rear, while Number 13 has rooflights at the rear. The buildings also feature cast-iron rainwater goods and corniced axial stacks.
